Honestly, this was so difficult I just went dizzy. I had to look up the definition of a "third wheel" in Google just to find out if there is another meaning that I haven't thought of. I can think of a number of Male third wheelers but not so much on females. Extra or minor characters yeah, but not really 3rd party of a couple T_T
Then, I stumbled upon other blogs that did this challenge and WHEW! I was not alone. We all had a hard time choosing hehe.
So I'll sway from dramas and feature
Ume "Kurumi" Kurumizawa from Kimi Ni Todoke
I know I know this was a movie not a series but a JDRAMA nonetheless. Kiritani Mirei really stood out as the cute and secretly cruel Kurumi, the perfectly 3rd party of the very cute Kazehaya♥Sawako couple.
I actually find her character as unique. You see she started the "Kazehaya is everyone's friend/boyfriend/guy" (whatever you call it) so no one not one girl was really pursuing him. All the while she is secretly loving Kazehaya and is somehow managed to be the closest to him compared to other girls (before Sawako came of course) see? weird right?
There were a few times that I really found her annoying which simply means she is an effective villain to a budding romance.
